Empowering a greener future

What is ECO4?

Energy Company Obligation-4, was initiated in April 2022 as part of a government-backed effort to bolster home energy efficiency. This program was first introduced in 2013, and its primary objective is to compel energy companies to offer free or cost-effective energy efficiency enhancements to low-income households in the United Kingdom.

Since its inception in 2013, over 2.4 million homes in the United Kingdom have embraced energy-saving improvements, with wall insulation being the most commonly adopted upgrade. These measures have led to substantial utility cost savings estimated at approximately £20 billion, benefiting countless citizens.

By 2023, five iterations of the ECO4 program will have been launched, but ECO4 will remain in operation until 2026.
